Usman H. Malik

Usman has over 20 years of project management experience in development and infrastructure projects in Pakistan. He leads PITCO’s Power Plant Engineering and Design Team, and has been actively involved in the design, development, and project management of over 1,600 MW of new power plant construction in Pakistan. He also leads PITCO’s Transmission and Distribution Consulting practice. Usman has a Bachelors and Masters drgree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom.

Omar M. Malik

Omar has over 20 years of management experience in energy and energy consulting. He leads PITCO’s Energy Trading team, where he is responsible for annual coal imports of over 500,000 tons. He also leads PITCO’s Demand Side Management and Energy Consulting Practices, managing the design and implementation of energy efficiency, sustainable production, and carbon emission reduction projects. Omar has a Bachelors degree in Finance from Georgetown University in the US, and an MBA from INSEAD in France.

Tahir Ali Khan

Tahir Ali Khan has over 45 years of extensive and hands-on senior level experience in the operation and management of multi-dimensional projects and programs financed by USAID, and in the financial and administrative operations and management of the Resident Mission office of the Asian Development Bank. At PITCO, Tahir leads the HR and Change Management Consulting practice, supporting challenging initiatives for turning around state owned entities.

M. Aijaz Butt

Aijaz Butt spent 37 years at Fauji Fertilizer Company (FFC), where he held different positions – Marketing & Planning, Sales of imported and locally manufactured fertilizers, Handling and Logistics, Development of distribution channels, and supply chain management. At PITCO, he leads the Agriculture Consulting Practice, leading energy efficiency in irrigation and high efficiency irrigation implementation projects, and farmer’s awareness raising campaigns.

Imran Malik

Imran Malik is a project management specialist with over 16 year of experience in strategic planning, operations management, business process improvements, and knowledge & information management working with ADB, USAID and EU programs. At PITCO, Imran leads the Project Management Unit (PMU), where he is involved with the M&E and performance monitoring of all projects, and oversight of project implementation schedules and work plans.

Qazi Sabir

Qazi Sabir has worked in developing over two dozen of Pakistan’s first carbon credit projects with the UNFCCC, including providing technical and financial assessments of the projects, validation, registration, verification and issuance of CERs; critical analysis of small-scale and large scale methodologies with respect to their applicability to different project situations and providing technical support in case of clarification and revisions. He leads PITCO’s Environmental Consulting Practice.

Kamran Riaz

Kamran has 20 years of successful international work experience and strong expertise in utilities regulation, tariffs, investment banking, investment evaluation, financial modeling, due-diligence and project finance consulting. He also possesses strong combination of public as well as private sector experience; coupled with excellent educational background in finance and engineering.

Arif Kundi

Arif has over 26 years of experience in both private and public organizations. As Executive Director of the Electronic Government Directorate, he remained responsible for managing an employee base of over 500 and a budget exceeding US$ 5 million. He has been responsible for a multitude of diversified and challenging job assignments, requiring strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Raza Bashir

Raza Bashir is an electrical engineer with expertise in complex multi-site automated metering projects. He has the ability to deliver substantial progress, productivity and quality improvements through on-time project execution and well managed operations. With sound understanding in metering services including AMRs, MDM and Large Control Systems, Raza has spent his fair amount of time at key posts KESC before joining PITCO.

Rana Anwar-Ul-Hassan

Rana Anwar has worked extensively at WAPDA with a commendable track record in energy Loss reduction. He retired as Chief Engineer (Design & Standards) from Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO), where he introduced tremendous technical improvements in the metering system of the DISCOs, and modernized the anti-theft measures for large industrial consumers by improving the system and checking the furnaces at the risk and cost of his life. Rana Anwar presently leads PITCO’s activities in LESCO for Demand Side Management, Energy Efficiency Enhancement, Grid Station and Feeder Technical Audits, and Power Factor Improvement.

Iftikhar Ahmed

Iftikhar Ahmed has over 40 years of experience working at various senior positions in WAPDA and the Electricity Distribution entities of Pakistan. Most recently, he was the CEO of Faisalabad Electric Supply Company, and prior to that the CEO of the Quetta Electric Supply Company (QESCO). At present, Iftikhar Ahmed leads the PITCO activities for Power Factor Improvement and power demand reduction at QESCO.

Rana Akhtar Hussain

Hussain has over 39 years of experience in design, construction, and operations management of distribution and secondary transmission and grid systems. He retired from Multan Electric Supply Company (MEPCO) as Chief Engineer. He has extensive experience of energy management, tariff structuring, policy making and implementations, preparation of material design and standards, enhancement of power infrastructure capacity. He has also been involved in testing, maintenance and installation of metering equipment. Rana Akhtar presently leads PITCO’s activities in MEPCO for Demand Side Management, Energy Efficiency Enhancement, Grid Station, Feeder Technical Audits, and Power Factor Improvement.

Hafiz Sohaib

Hafiz Sohaib is a software development manager with over 16 years of experience in developing and leading highly technical business and analytical software projects. Proficient with n-tier applications architecture, design, development, testing and maintenance, skilled in a variety of software languages, tools, and methodologies, with expertise in Microsoft .NET technologies and agile principles, hands on experience on relational databases including Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.

Shoaib Hafeez Cheema

Shoaib Cheema expertise is over conducting analysis of the existing systems and processes to identify gaps and solutions, Preparing proposals and projects/product solutions, Gathering requirements for the rollout of commercial and administrative projects/products, and finalization validation of process maps, conducting change readiness assessment and preparation of project plan. Cheema has spent fair amount of time at PTCL and Ministry of Information Technology at key posts.
